A girl named Hollis Woods had to live with foster parents. Hollis Woods continued to go to different foster homes. She went to different foster homes because she ran away. When Hollis was sent to Josie the artist, she wants to stay. She ran away from the the system so she won`t get seperated from Josie. She was going to take Josie with her so they won`t get seperated.
Hollis loved Josie and she wanted to live with her for ever. Hollis dreams of the past summer with the only one that she actually wanted to live with, Josie. Josie is the kind of person for Hollis because Josie is like Hollis’s admirer. Josie makes Hollis happy because Josie knows what kind of girl that Hollis is and she also respects the fact that Hollis is a foster child. Josie is different. She’s an amazing artist. Hollis doesn’t like Josie because of her art but because there’s a connection between her and Josie. Hollis likes Josie because Josie is the type of person that can have a good connection with children.
Josie makes Hollis happy and that’s the good thing about the relationship. All of the other foster people that she was assigned to didn’t have a connection with Hollis. That is probably the reason that Hollis ran away all of those times.

Water Cycle Rain Drop

I’m a raindrop. I have been in a pond for two weeks. “Wow! I’m flying. I’m flying.” I’m a cloud. I always wanted to be a cloud, except I’m a little crowded. I’ve been up here for six weeks. Just let it rip! Yes, finally we’re falling. Wait nobody told me we were going to land on mountains. “Ouch!” Nobody told me I would fall flat on my face when I got down the mountain. Wait now I soaked into the ground. “Oh, man! What’s next?”
2009 Inauguration

My reflection about the 2009 inauguration is: to put the childishness behind. I like the idea of Barak Obama being the next president of the United States of America. I feel that the inauguration was very historical. This year is a special year because Barack Obama is the first African American president of the United States. Barak Obama swears to protect & defend the United States of America. Joe Biden is the vise president of the United States. A vice president is someone who is would become the president if the real president is dead. Barak Obama is the 44 president of the United States.
The Missing Cookie

At the North Pole all of the elves are making all the Christmas toys. Santa Clause went in the presentation room and saw that the cookie was gone. Santa set off the alarm. Wee ooh, wee ooh, wee ooh, the alarm screamed.
“Everybody, the presentation cookie is gone!” Santa shouted.
“What!?,” gasped the elves, “Who could have gotten in the door? It is always locked and only you have the key to the door!”, Rudolph yelled at Santa.
Santa turned to Lucy Elf and Rodulph and told them to search the entire North Pole. Without the cookie Santa doesn’t have courage to deliver the presents. Rudolph started by checking everyone’s pocket and found the cookie in Jaden’s pocket.
“Santa, Santa, Santa!”, exclaimed Lucy.
“Did you find the cookie?”, asked Santa. Lucy shook her head yes and Santa asked who had the cookie. Rudolph explained that he found the cookie in Jaden’s pocket. Santa was surprised since Jaden was his second to best elf. Rudolph brought Jaden to Santa.
“Is it true that Rudolph and Lucy found the cookie in your pocket?”, asked Santa.
“Yes sir it is true,” aswered Jaden.
“Then I have no choice but to put you in the dungeon,” Santa decreed.
Santa now had the courage to deliver the presents and left to do just that.

Haiku

In Reading class we learned about traditional and modern haiku.
My first poem creates an image of a waterfall. Here is my first traditional haiku:
Wonderful noises
beautiful water falling
an amazing sight
Here is my second traditional haiku. It creates an image of fall leaves.
Falling from the trees
soggy and wet from the rain
blew by the wild wind
